R E V I E W | Miss Sporty Insta Glow (Blush + Bronzer)

When I first got into makeup, probably when I was about 16, there were two things I loved the most - Lipsticks and Blushes. Yes, I was that girl. The girl that drenched her face in a tub full of blush. I just couldn't get enough it. Fast forward 8 years and my love for blushes have not withered. Although now I've eased up on the amount of blush I use. Less is more I tell myself. We contour to bring some kind of structure back into our face after we've applied foundation and concealer and blush does the same but even better. It's a great way to plump up our cheeks, amplify the roseness in our cheeks and bring life back to our face and that's the reason why I love blushes.

Today's product review is going to be on the Miss Sporty Insta Glow Collection. I have been using products from Miss Sporty for about 3 years now and I absolutely love them. I currently use their concealer and mascara and it's of such great quality. I actually prefer their concealer to high end brands like the M.A.C prolongwear concealer. This collection is fairly new in the market and the minute I saw it, I knew I had to have it. I bought 4 blush shades and two bronzer shades. The Bronzer from this collection is now my new found favourite. I've been looking for a bronzer/contour with a deep orange under tone and this is exactly what I wanted.

The colours are very pigmented and when swatched it comes of a little bit powdery and to be honest that did put me off in the beginning. They however go on very smoothly on the cheeks, almost buttery. It definitely looks a lot better on your cheeks than swatched. The blush and the bronzer also stay on for a very long time even on oily skin. We all know when you have oily skin, the first product to fade off is your blush but these stay on for a decent amount of time. I wore the blush and the bronzer last Saturday for my friend's birthday. I had it on from about 9pm till about 4am when I got home and it stayed on all night. It wasn't as pigmented as it was when I first applied it but it was still visible.

As you can see from the pictures, there are specs of glitter in both the blush and the bronzer however it's not drenched in glitter. It's not made up of so much glitter that it becomes too overpowering and too overwhelming. It's the perfect amount of glitter to give you that glow from within. I mean it's in the name - Insta Glow! It's definitely not a matte blush/bronzer so if you're into mattes then this is probably not for you, even though I would urge you to get it. Because it doesn't give you a shine, it gives you a glow.

Can we just take a second and admire how beautiful and cute the packaging is. I'm such a sucker for packaging like honestly! I first saw this product on instagram and even before I swatched it, I fell in love with how cute the packaging was. I also love the size. It's not to small and it's not too big. It's great for travelling around with. We all love a good bargain so this has to be the major plus about this product - because it's a drugstore brand you know you're getting good quality product at such an affordable price. These retail for £2.99 each at Superdrug. So splurge! Why not! My favourite colour from the blushes is The 004 Glowing Mauve and my favourite bronzer is 002 Sunny Brunette. I do also like that you can use 001 Luminous Beige (blush) and 001 Sunkissed Blonde (bronzer) as highlighters if you wanted. Such beautiful shades. I cannot get enough of them.
